Fire Evacuation Drill

Our university organized a fire drill to sensitize its students, academic and administrative staff to disasters such as fire and earthquakes and prepare them for emergencies. The exercise, which took place on December 19, 2024 at 9:45 a.m. at the same time in all buildings on campus, was an important exercise for participants to learn how to respond to emergencies.
The exercise began with the siren sounding. Staff who had no specific duty in the building exited the building by following emergency exit signs in the hallways without panicking and were directed to emergency assembly points. The participants who reached the gathering areas awaited the completion of the exercise by behaving according to the instructions given.
After the exercise, our Rector Prof. Dr. Cemal Yıldız together with our General Coordinator Prof. Dr. Ferit Küçükay, our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Aysel Uzuntaş and General Secretary Özgür Ali Şirin discussed the measures to be taken in the fire crisis team and evaluated the success of the exercise.
